“I couldn’t think straight. I had all this stuff, and I couldn’t decided what to take ….so I just had the movers pack it all.”
Are you mystified and overwhelmed with the process of moving? Let us coordinate and help you control the chaos from start to finish. We like to call ourselves your moving coordinators or move managers.
Our proven techniques will save you time, money and stress.
I Need to Move Tomorrow! Top Things That Will Affect Your Move Date: recommended by Amick Great Plains Moving & Storage
1. Your Move Date Itself: If your date is flexible, avoid moving between May 15 and September 15, as these are the busiest times for the moving industry. If you must move at these times, try finding a date that is in the middle of the week and/or in the middle of the month.
2. Capacity: More than likely, your shipment will not be the only shipment on a given moving truck. If the date you choose involves some scheduling conflicts with moves that are already scheduled that day, give the mover a spread of five days that might work for you.
3. Notice: As always, the more notice you can give a moving company, the better. There are a lot of things to coordinate on the agent-side including: the truck route's loading and unloading schedule, driver schedules, labor, shipment inventory and possibly permits (which could take a few weeks to obtain).
